Hot basketball prospect Derrick Jones of Archbishop Carroll will begin a three-week tour Wednesday through the July recruiting period.

The 6-foot-6 wing will be among 100 players at Philadelphia University for the four-day Reebok Breakout Challenge. Games begin Wednesday at 5 p.m., the start of the NCAA's live period that allows college coaches to evaluate recruits in person.

Jones is an ESPN.com five-star recruit who will be a senior in the fall. He has received offers from Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, and Syracuse, among others. Jones plans to visit colleges in August.

"The camp is an opportunity to represent his hometown," said Terrell Myers, the director of Jones' AAU team, WeR1. "Sometimes people look far for the best opportunities when they're right in front of your face."

Jones will be joined at the Reebok camp by WeR1 teammates Tim Delaney (Pitman), Ernest Aflakpui (Carroll), Nysier Brooks (Carroll), Malik Ellison (Life Center), Sedee Keita (Vermont Academy), and Kodye Pugh (Baltimore Boys' Latin).

Aflakpui, a 6-foot-10 center, visited Rhode Island last week. He has received scholarship offers from La Salle, St. Joseph's, Temple, and Villanova. Delaney orally committed to Villanova last summer. The 6-foot-9 power forward chose the Wildcats over Penn State, Rutgers, and Oregon State.

Ellison, a 6-foot-5 point guard, has received offers from La Salle, St. Joseph's, Temple, and Maryland.

Math, Civics and Sciences seniors Samir Doughty and Mike Watkins will be at the event along with Cherry Hill East senior Jake Silpe.

Watkins, a 6-foot-9 center, orally committed to Penn State last summer. The Nittany Lions made Doughty a scholarship offer over the weekend. The 6-foot-4 guard has received offers from La Salle, Bowling Green, George Mason, and St. Joseph's. Silpe, a 6-foot-2 point guard, plays AAU basketball for the Jersey Shore Warriors and has seen interest from Penn and Princeton.
