NFC EAST

EAGLES (B)

1 (26) Marcus Smith LB Louisville

2 (42) Jordan Matthews WR Vanderbilt

3 (86) Josh Huff WR Oregon

4 (101) Jaylen Watkins DB Florida

5 (141) Taylor Hart DE Oregon

5 (162) Ed Reynolds DB Stanford

7 (224) Beau Allen DT Wisconsin

Domo's Take: I wasn't crazy about them taking Smith as early as they did, but they did a very good job with the rest of their draft, picking up value and addressing needs. Aside from Matthews, who probably will open the season as the team's slot receiver, I'm not sure how much playing time this class is going to get early on. But they've added several other guys, including Watkins, Reynolds and Hart, who potentially could be starters within 2 years. Their best pick could end up being the fifth-rounder they gave the Saints in the Darren Sproles deal.

COWBOYS (B-)

1 (16) Zach Martin G Notre Dame

2 (34) Demarcus Lawrence DE Boise St.

4 (119) Antony Hitchens LB Iowa

5 (146) Devin Street WR Pittsburgh

7 (231) Ben Gardner DE Stanford

7 (238) Will Smith LB Texas Tech

7 (248) Ahmad Dixon DB Baylor

7 (251) Ken Bishop DT Northern Illinois

7 (254) Terrance Mitchell DB Oregon

Domo's Take: The good news is the Cowboys had nine picks. The bad news is five of them were in the seventh round. After fighting off the urge to take Johnny Football, Jerry Jones spent his first-round pick well on Martin, who can play all five offensive line positions, and will be one of their starting guards in September. Lawrence was one of the better edge-rushers in the draft, though he's going to have to get bigger and stronger to be an every-down end in Dallas' 4-3. Most of the rest of their picks are a crap shoot.

GIANTS (B+)

1 (12) Odell Beckham WR Louisiana St.

2 (43) Weston Richburg C Colorado St.

3 (74) Jay Bromley DT Syracuse

4 (113) Andre Williams RB Boston College

5 (152) Nat Berhe DB San Diego St.

5 (174) Devon Kennard LB Southern Cal

6 (187) Bennett Jackson DB Notre Dame

Domo's Take: The Giants hit all of the major-need spots with their seven selections, with the exception of tight end. Beckham should more than make up for the loss of Hakeem Nicks, and the Giants hope Bromley can replace Linval Joseph as their primary interior run-stuffer. Richburg is an athletic center who should be a Day 1 starter. Williams can't catch a lick, but is a powerful, hard-to-bring-down runner who should improve the Giants' yards-per-carry average (3.5).

REDSKINS (B)

2 (47) Trent Murphy LB Stanford

3 (66) Morgan Moses OT Virginia

3 (78) Spencer Long G Nebraska

4 (102) Bashaud Breeland DB Clemson

5 (142) Ryan Grant WR Tulane

6 (186) Lache Seastrunk RB Baylor

7 (217) Ted Bolser TE Indiana

7 (228) Zach Hocker K Arkansas

Domo's Take: The Redskins still are paying for the RGIII purchase and didn't have a pick until the middle of the second round. Nevertheless, they had a pretty productive draft. They bolstered their offensive line in the third round with the selections of Moses and Spencer. Spencer should be a Day 1 starter. Breeland was great value in Round 4 and will immediately improve the Redskins' sub-packages and eventually replace 30-year-old DeAngelo Hall.

NFC NORTH

BEARS (B+)

1 (14) Kyle Fuller DB Virginia Tech

2 (51) Ego Ferguson DT Louisiana St.

3 (82) Will Sutton DT Arizona St.

4 (117) Ka'Deem Carey RB Arizona

4 (131) Brock Vereen DB Minnesota

6 (183) David Fales QB San Jose St.

6 (191) Patrick O'Donnell P Miami (Fla.)

7 (246) Charles Leno OT Boise St.

Domo's Take: The Bears owned the worst run defense in the league last year, giving up 161.4 yards per game on the ground. They hope beefy 300-plus-pound defensive tackles Ferguson and Sutton will help stop the bleeding. Fuller is an NFL-ready CB who probably will be their Day 1 nickel guy. Carey should be a capable backup to Matt Forte.

LIONS (B)

1 (10) Eric Ebron TE North Carolina

2 (40) Kyle Van Noy LB Brigham Young

3 (76) Travis Swanson C Arkansas

4 (133) Nevon Lawson DB Utah St.

4 (136) Larry Webster DE Bloomsburg

5 (158) Caraun Reid DT Princeton

6 (189) T.J. Jones WR Notre Dame

7 (229) Nate Freese K Boston College

Domo's Take: Ebron is a bigger, stronger version of Aaron Hernandez who will do nothing but help Matthew Stafford and the Lions' passing game. Van Noy can play inside or outside and probably will wind up as the Day 1 starting SAM. Swanson is a solid zone-blocking center who will eventually replace 35-year-old Dominic Raiola.

PACKERS (B)

1 (21) Ha Ha Clinton-Dix DB Alabama

2 (53) Davante Adams WR Fresno St.

3 (85) Khyri Thornton DE S. Mississippi

3 (98) Richard Rodgers TE California

4 (121) Carl Bradford LB Arizona St.

5 (161) Corey Linsley C Ohio St.

5 (176) Jared Abbrederis WR Wisconsin

6 (197) Demetri Goodson DB Baylor

7 (236) Jeff Janis WR Saginaw Vall. St.

Domo's Take: The Packers addressed their biggest need right out of the gate, landing Clinton-Dix, the draft's top-rated safety, in the first round. If they can figure out a way to clone him, it would help even more. They spent three of their nine picks on wide receivers, all of them 6-1 or taller. Adams isn't the fastest receiver in the world, but is physical and catches everything.

VIKINGS (B)

1 (9) Anthony Barr LB UCLA

1 (32) Teddy Bridgewater QB Louisville

3 (72) Scott Crichton DE Oregon St.

3 (96) Jerick McKinnon RB Ga. Southern

5 (145) David Yankey OT Stanford

6 (182) Antone Exum DB Virginia Tech

6 (184) Kendall James DB Maine

7 (220) Shamar Stephen NT Connecticut

7 (223) Brandon Watts LB Georgia Tech

7 (225) Jabari Price DB North Carolina

Domo's Take: After grabbing Barr, the draft's third best pass rusher, with the ninth pick, the Vikings grabbed their possible quarterback of the future, Bridgewater, with the first-round pick they got from Seattle in the Percy Harvin deal. Mike Mayock described Crichton as a poor man's Chris Long, which a lot better than being a poor man's Jerome McDougle.

NFC SOUTH

BUCCANEERS (B+)

1 (7) Mike Evans WR Texas A&M

2 (38) A. Seferian-Jenkins TE Washington

3 (69) Charles Sims RB West Virginia

5 (143) Kadeem Edwards G Tennessee St.

5 (149) Kevin Pamphile OT Purdue

6 (185) Robert Herron WR Wyoming

Domo's Take: Whomever ends up being the Bucs' starting QB this season is going to have some very big targets to throw to. The 6-5, 231-pound Evans will team with 6-5, 241-pound Vincent Jackson. They also got 6-5, 262-pound tight end in the second round (Sefarian-Jenkins), all of whom should definitely improve a red-zone offense that finished 23rd last year. Sims was one of the best pass-catching running backs in the draft.

FALCONS (B)

1 (6) Jake Matthews OT Texas A&M

2 (37) Ra'Shede Hageman DE Minnesota

3 (68) Dezmen Southward DB Wisconsin

4 (103) Devonta Freeman RB Florida St.

4 (139) Prince Shembo LB Notre Dame

5 (147) Ricardo Allen DB Purdue

5 (168) Marquis Spruill LB Syracuse

7 (253) Yawin Smallwood LB Connecticut

7 (255) Tyler Starr LB South Dakota

Domo's Take: The Falcons got bigger, stronger and better on both lines with the selections of Matthews and Hageman. Matthews will be a Day 1 starter, probably at right tackle opposite Sam Baker. Hageman was a first-round talent that the Falcons got in the second round. Southward, who has 4.38 speed, can play both cornerback and safety. Unfortunately for the Falcons, he can't do it at the same time. With Steven Jackson turning 31 in July, Freeman was a good fourth-round pickup.

PANTHERS (B-)

1 (28) Kelvin Benjamin WR Florida St.

2 (60) Kony Ealy DE Missouri

3 (92) Trai Turner G Louisiana St.

4 (128) Tre Boston DB North Carolina

5 (148) Bene' Benwikere DB San Jose St.

6 (204) Tyler Gaffney RB Stanford

Domo's Take: With Steve Smith gone, the Panthers needed to find some pass-catching help for Cam Newton. Benjamin brings unique size and catching radius to the wide receiver position, but was a 1-year wonder at Florida State. Ealy was good value late in the second round, but there are questions about his consistency. Turner was a solid value pick in the third round and might even be a Day 1 starter at RG. But the Panthers didn't address their biggest offensive line need, which is tackle.

SAINTS (B+)

1 (20) Brandin Cooks WR Oregon St.

2 (58) Stanley Jean-Baptiste DB Nebraska

4 (126) Khairi Fortt LB California

5 (167) Vinnie Sunseri DB Alabama

5 (169) Ronald Powell LB Florida

6 (202) Tavon Rooks OT Kansas St.

Domo's Take: The Saints had a solid draft. They traded up in front of the Eagles in the first round to grab another pass-catching weapon for Drew Brees (Cooks). Jean-Baptiste is a long corner (6-3, 218) out of the Richard Sherman mold. Fortt is a good inside LB fit for Rob Ryan's defense. Sunseri, who is recovering from a torn ACL, was a good "futures" pick.

NFC WEST

49ERS (A)

1 (30) Jimmie Ward DB Northern Illinois

2 (57) Carlos Hyde RB Ohio St.

3 (70) Marcus Martin C Southern Cal

3 (77) Chris Borland LB Wisconsin

3 (100) Brandon Thomas G Clemson

4 (106) Bruce Ellington WR South Carolina

4 (129) Dontae Johnson DB N. Carolina St.

5 (150) Aaron Lynch DE South Florida

5 (170) Keith Reaser DB Florida Atlantic

6 (180) Kenneth Acker DB S. Methodist

7 (243) Kaleb Ramsey DE Boston College

7 (245) Trey Millard RB Oklahoma

Domo's Take: The 49ers attacked Day 2 with a vengeance. Hyde gives them an ideal eventual successor to the soon-to-be-31-year-old Frank Gore. Martin was the draft's top center. Borland doesn't have great measurables, but is a productive player who gives them insurance if NaVorro Bowman is slow to heal from his injury. Grabbing ACL-rehabbing Thomas with the last pick of Day 2 was a stroke of genius by Trent Baalke. Thomas was a first-round talent before his injury.

CARDINALS (B)

1 (27) Deone Bucannon DB Washington St.

2 (52) Troy Niklas TE Notre Dame

3 (84) Kareem Martin DE North Carolina

3 (91) John Brown WR Pittsburg St.

4 (120) Logan Thomas QB Virginia Tech

5 (160) Ed Stinson DE Alabama

6 (196) Walter Powell WR Murray St.

Domo's Take: Love the pickup of Thomas in the fourth round. If anybody can turn this kid into an NFL QB, it's Bruce Arians. And with Carson Palmer there for another couple of years, they don't have to rush him. Brown and his sub-4.4 speed will make a nice slot compliment to Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd. Bucannon is a big hitter who will team with Tyrann Mathieu and give the Cardinals a potent, young pair of safeties.

RAMS (A+)

1 (2) Greg Robinson OT Auburn

1 (13) Aaron Donald DT Pittsburgh

2 (41) Lamarcus Joyner DB Florida St.

3 (75) Tre Mason RB Auburn

4 (110) Maurice Alexander DB Utah St.

6 (188) E.J. Gaines DB Missouri

6 (214) Garrett Gilbert QB S. Methodist

7 (226) Michell Van Dyk OT Portland St.

7 (241) Christian Bryant DB Ohio St.

7 (249) Michael Sam DE Missouri

7 (250) Demetrius Rhaney C Tennessee St.

Domo's Take: The Rams had two of the first 13 picks and hit bull's-eyes with both of them. Robinson has best-tackle-in-the-game potential and Donald is one of the best three-technique DTs to come along in years. Joyner will improve a young secondary that had just 12 interceptions. Mason will make a good compliment to Zac Stacy.

SEAHAWKS (B)

2 (45) Paul Richardson WR Colorado

2 (64) Justin Britt OT Missouri

4 (108) Cassius Marsh DE UCLA

4 (123) Kevin Norwood WR Alabama

4 (132) Kevin Pierre-Louis LB Boston College

5 (172) Jimmy Staten DT Mid. Tennessee

6 (199) Garrett Scott OT Marshall

6 (208) Eric Pinkins DB San Diego St.

7 (227) Kiero Small RB Arkansas

Domo's Take: The Seahawks didn't have a first-round pick, giving it to the Vikings last year in the Percy Harvin deal. Richardson and Norwood should help offset the free agency loss of Golden Tate. Marsh has a lot of off-the-field issues, as well as a questionable work ethic. But he also is a pretty good pass rusher. If Pete Carroll can keep him focused, the kid will be a fourth-round bargain. Britt probably was a bit of a reach at the end of the second round.

AFC EAST

BILLS (B-)

1 (4) Sammy Watkins WR Clemson

2 (44) Cyrus Kouandjio OT Alabama

3 (73) Preston Brown LB Louisville

4 (109) Ross Cockrell DB Duke

5 (153) Cyril Richardson G Baylor

7 (221) Randell Johnson LB Florida Atlantic

7 (237) Seantrel Henderson OT Miami (Fla.)

Domo's Take: Getting Watkins, who was the best wide receiver in the draft, was a coup, but the price they paid for him wasn't. They traded up from 9 to 4 with Cleveland, giving the Browns their first-round pick next year and a fourth-round pick. GM Doug Whaley didn't even bother to negotiate. The 1 and 4 was his introductory offer and the Browns jumped at it. Brown is a solid inside 'backer who has the ability to be a three-down player. Kouandjio is a first-round talent, but has knee issues that could shorten his career.

DOLPHINS (C+)

1 (19) Ja'Wuan James OT Tennessee

2 (63) Jarvis Landry WR Louisiana St.

3 (67) Billy Turner OT North Dakota St.

4 (125) Walt Aikens DB Liberty

5 (155) Arthur Lynch TE Georgia

5 (171) Jordan Tripp LB Montana

6 (190) Matt Hazel WR Coastal Carolina

7 (234) Terrence Fede DE Marist

Domo's Take: The Dolphins need to rebuild their offensive line, but taking James, who most teams had a late-second-round grade on, with the 19th overall pick, was a bit of a reach. The other offensive tackle they took, Turner, is small-school raw, but could end up being better than James. One of them likely will get kicked inside, probably Turner. Wide receiver wasn't a need, but Landry was too good to pass up.

JETS (B)

1 (18) Calvin Pryor DB Louisville

2 (49) Jace Amaro TE Texas Tech

3 (80) Dexter McDougle DB Maryland

4 (104) Jalen Saunders WR Oklahoma

4 (115) Shaquelle Evans WR UCLA

4 (137) Dakota Dozier G Furman

5 (154) Jeremiah George LB Iowa St.

6 (195) Brandon Dixon DB N.W. Missouri St.

6 (209) Quincy Enunwa WR Nebraska

6 (210) IK Enemkpali LB Louisiana Tech

6 (213) Tajh Boyd QB Clemson

7 (233) Trevor Reilly LB Utah

Domo's Take: The Jets walked away with a whopping 12 draft selections. They patched one of their biggest holes - safety - in the first round when Pryor made it to them at 18. One of their other priorities going in was to find some pass-catching targets for their quarterbacks. They did that with the additions of Amaro, Saunders and Evans. Saunders is smaller than DeSean Jackson, but 10 times as tough and also will be a special-teams difference-maker.

PATRIOTS (B-)

1 (29) Dominique Easley DE Florida

2 (62) Jimmy Garoppolo QB Eastern Illinois

4 (105) Bryan Stork C Florida St.

4 (130) James White RB Wisconsin

4 (140) Cameron Fleming OT Stanford

6 (179) Jon Halapio G Florida

6 (198) Zach Moore DT Concordia

6 (206) Jemea Thomas DB Georgia Tech

7 (244) Jeremy Gallon WR Michigan

Domo's Take: With Tom Brady turning 37 in August, Bill Belichick is preparing for Life After Tom Terrific. He grabbed his potential replacement, Garoppolo, in the second round. Easley is coming off his second ACL injury. He should be ready for training camp, but how much he'll play this season remains to be seen. Patriots added needed depth to their offensive line with the additions of Stork, Fleming and Halapio.

AFC NORTH

BENGALS (B)

1 (24) Darqueze Dennard DB Michigan St.

2 (55) Jeremy Hill RB Louisiana St.

3 (88) Will Clarke DE West Virginia

4 (111) Russell Bodine C North Carolina

5 (164) A.J. McCarron QB Alabama

6 (212) Marquis Flowers LB Arizona

7 (239) James Wright WR Louisiana St.

7 (252) Lavelle Westbrooks DB Ga. Southern

Domo's Take: Cornerback was their biggest need going in and they addressed it early, adding Dennard in the first round. He's a tough, physical, press-cover corner who should help the Bengals right away. Hill is a 233-pound thumper who gives the Bengals a potential replacement for Benjarvis Green-Ellis and a guy to compliment Giovani Bernard.

BROWNS (A+)

1 (8) Justin Gilbert DB Oklahoma St.

1 (22) Johnny Manziel QB Texas A&M

2 (35) Joel Bitonio G Nevada

3 (71) Christian Kirksey LB Iowa

3 (94) Terrance West RB Towson

4 (127) Pierre Desir DB Lindenwood

Domo's Take: Given Josh Gordon's latest misstep, the Browns probably are wondering if staying put at 4 and taking Sammy Watkins rather than trading down with Buffalo might've been the better way to go. But they picked up the Bills' first-round pick next year and got Gilbert, who, at 6 feet and 202 pounds with 4.37 speed, is today's prototype corner. Manziel was great value at 22. Bitonio can play either tackle or guard. West is a big back with good feet who, along with Ben Tate, should give the Browns a good 1-2 running punch.

RAVENS (B+)

1 (17) C.J. Mosley LB Alabama

2 (48) Timmy Jernigan DT Florida St.

3 (79) Terrence Brooks DB Florida St.

3 (99) Crockett Gillmore TE Colorado St.

4 (134) Brent Urban DE Virginia

4 (138) Lorenzo Taliaferro RB Coastal Carolina

5 (175) John Urschel C Penn St.

6 (194) Keith Wenning QB Ball St.

7 (218) Michael Campanaro WR Wake Forest

Domo's Take: Another solid Ozzie Newsome draft that showed why this guy is one of the best talent evaluators in the game. Ravens got the best inside 'backer in the draft (Mosley) with their first pick, even though that hardly was their biggest need. Mosley figures to be a Day 1 starter alongside Daryl Smith. They further fortified the middle of the defense by adding Jernigan in the second round, and picked up a potential Day 1 starting safety in Brooks.

STEELERS (A)

1 (15) Ryan Shazier LB Ohio St.

2 (46) Stephon Tuitt DE Notre Dame

3 (97) Dri Archer RB Kent St.

4 (118) Martavis Bryant WR Clemson

5 (157) Shaquille Richardson DB Arizona

5 (173) Wesley Johnson OT Vanderbilt

6 (192) Jordan Zumwalt LB UCLA

6 (215) Daniel McCullers DE Tennessee

7 (230) Rob Blanchflower TE Massachusetts

Domo's Take: For the first time in 7 years, the Steelers took defensive players with both of their first two picks, and got two guys - Shazier and Tuitt - who should have an immediate impact on an aging unit. Shazier was considered a prototype 4-3 WILL, but still should be able to flourish inside or outside in Dick LeBeau's 3-4. Archer is a 4.28 blazer. The 6-4, 211-pound Bryant was a 1-year wonder at Clemson, but was great value in the fourth round and gives Ben Roethlisberger a big target to throw to.

AFC SOUTH

COLTS (C)

2 (59) Jack Mewhort G Ohio St.

3 (90) Donte Moncrief WR Mississippi

5 (166) Jonathan Newsome LB Ball St.

6 (203) Andrew Jackson LB W. Kentucky

7 (232) Ulrick John OT Georgia St.

Domo's Take: The Colts didn't have a first-round pick after unwisely trading it last year to the Browns for underperforming running back Trent Richardson. The absence of a first-round pick prevented them from addressing their top need - finding a safety replacement for Antoine Bethea. Moncrief has impressive measurables, but needs a lot of work on his route-running skills. With the offseason acquisition of Hakeem Nicks, he probably isn't going to play much early on.

JAGUARS (A-)

1 (3) Blake Bortles QB Central Florida

2 (39) Marqise Lee WR Southern Cal

2 (61) Allen Robinson WR Penn St.

3 (93) Brandon Linder G Miami (Fla.)

4 (114) Aaron Colvin DB Oklahoma

5 (144) Telvin Smith LB Florida St.

5 (159) Chris Smith DE Arkansas

6 (205) Luke Bowanko C Virginia

7 (222) Storm Johnson RB Central Florida

Domo's Take: The success of this draft ultimately will be determined by how Bartles pans out. He has franchise-quarterback traits, but needs a watch-and-learn year, which the Jags say they are going to give him. With Justin Blackmon's future in doubt, the Jags bolstered their receiving corps with their two second-round picks, adding big targets Lee and Robinson. Colvin, who was considered a first-round talent before tearing his ACL at the Senior Bowl, was an excellent "futures" pick in the fourth round.

TEXANS (A+)

1 (1) Jadeveon Clowney DE South Carolina

2 (33) Xavier Su'a-Filo G UCLA

3 (65) C.J. Fiedorowicz TE Iowa

3 (83) Louis Nix DT Notre Dame

4 (135) Tom Savage QB Pittsburgh

6 (177) Jeoffrey Pagan DE Alabama

6 (181) Alfred Blue RB Louisiana St.

6 (211) Jay Prosch RB Auburn

7 (216) Andre Hal DB Vanderbilt

7 (256) Lonnie Ballentine DB Memphis

Domo's Take: It's hard to argue with the Texans' decision to pass on a QB with the first pick and take Clowney. He's going to have an immediate impact on a pass rush that had just 32 sacks last year. They got stronger inside on both lines, taking Su'a-Filo with their second-round pick and pouncing on Nix with the second of two third-round selections. They got great quarterback value in the fourth round, taking Savage, who had one of the draft's strongest arms.

TITANS (B+)

1 (11) Taylor Lewan OT Michigan

2 (54) Bishop Sankey RB Washington

4 (112) DaQuan Jones DT Penn St.

4 (122) Marqueston Huff DB Wyoming

5 (151) Avery Williamson LB Kentucky

6 (178) Zach Mettenberger QB Louisiana St.

Domo's Take: Offensive tackle wasn't a crying need for the Titans going into the draft, but they couldn't afford to pass on a talent like Lewan, who will immediately push free-agent acquisition Michael Oher for the starting right tackle job. Sankey was a terrific second-round pickup for a team that sent Chris Johnson packing. He's got good feet and hands and has the skills to be a three-down back. Mettenberger could be a sixth-round steal if he ever straightens out his act and focuses on football.

AFC WEST

BRONCOS (B)

1 (31) Bradley Roby DB Ohio St.

2 (56) Cody Latimer WR Indiana

3 (95) Michael Schofield OT Michigan

5 (156) Lamin Barrow LB Louisiana St.

6 (207) Matt Paradis C Boise St.

7 (242) Corey Nelson LB Oklahoma

Domo's Take: Even with the signing of Aquib Talib, the Broncos needed to get some more cornerback help as Chris Harris recovers from a major knee injury. Roby is one of the most athletic corners in the draft, but is going to need a lot of work to get NFL-ready. Latimer was a good pickup late in Round 2. Schofield, who was overshadowed by Taylor Lewan in Ann Arbor, will give the Broncos offensive tackle depth behind starters Ryan Clady and Orlando Franklin.

CHARGERS (B)

1 (25) Jason Verrett DB Texas Christian

2 (50) Jeremiah Attaochu TE Georgia Tech

3 (89) Chris Watt G Notre Dame

5 (165) Ryan Carrethers DB Arkansas St.

6 (201) Marlon Grice RB Arizona St.

7 (240) Tevin Reese WR Baylor

Domo's Take: The Chargers had just six picks, only three in the top 164. They addressed one of their biggest needs in Round 1, grabbing cornerback Jason Verrett. The only negative with Verrett is his size - he's only 5-9 - which could present problems in the era of The Big Wideout. But he plays bigger than that. Chargers traded up in the second round to grab Attaochu, the last true 3-4 outside linebacker left on the board. Some scouts I talked to had Attaochu rated above Eagles first-rounder Marcus Smith.

CHIEFS (B-)

1 (23) Dee Ford DE Auburn

3 (87) Phillip Gaines DB Rice

4 (124) De'Anthony Thomas RB Oregon

5 (163) Aaron Murray QB Georgia

6 (193) Zach Fulton G Tennessee

6 (200) L. Duvernay-Tardif OT McGill

Domo's Take: Last year, the Chiefs gave up their second-round pick to get QB Alex Smith, which turned out to be a pick well spent. They were prepared to take Johnny Manziel at 23 before the Browns traded up ahead of them and grabbed him. Ford, the guy they took instead, is an explosive pass rusher, but needs to add size and strength before he's ever ready to be an every-down player. Chiefs didn't address their two primary needs - wide receiver and safety.

RAIDERS (A-)

1 (5) Khalil Mack LB Buffalo

2 (36) Derek Carr QB Fresno St.

3 (81) Gabe Jackson G Mississippi St.

4 (107) Justin Ellis DT Louisiana Tech

4 (116) Keith McGill DB Utah

7 (219) T.J. Carrie DB Ohio

7 (235) Shelby Harris DE Illinois

7 (247) Jonathan Dowling DB W. Kentucky

Domo's Take: What in the name of Al Davis is going on in Oakland? Under GM Reggie McKenzie, these guys are actually starting to act like they know what they're doing. Mack should do wonders for a pass-rush that had just 38 sacks last year and inexplicably let its top pass-rusher - Lamarr Houston - walk in free agency. OK, so maybe they don't always know what they're doing. Carr was good value in the second round, and he'll be able to spend his rookie year watching and learning behind Matt Schaub. Jackson and Ellis were solid picks in the third and fourth rounds.
