UNCLE A-ROD is no doubt proud of his nephew, who apparently can belt the ball pretty good without the help of performance-enhancing drugs.

Joe Dunand, a senior at Gulliver Prep in Miami, is the son of Alex Rodriguez' half-brother, Joe Dunand Sr.

In a five-game tournament over the weekend, the 18-year old, who will play at N.C. State, went 10-for-12 with nine home runs, eight on his final eight swings.

"I was surprised, but I wasn't complaining," Dunand told the Miami Herald. "I was just letting it happen. I was seeing the ball very well. I just hit it and it kept going every time."

When Dunand's feat is officially confirmed by the National Federation of State High School Associations he will have shattered the old record of six consecutive home runs shared by six players.

The 6-2, 195-pound infielder not only swings like his famous uncle, he looks like him too. He once played a younger version of A-Rod in a sporting goods store commercial.

High-end Phils

For the fourth consecutive year, the Phillies are fourth among MLB teams in Fan Cost Index (FCI) as determined by Team Marketing Report.

According to the report, the average Phillies ticket cost $37.42. The average premium ticket cost $86.25. The Phillies' FCI is $258.18, which is only 0.4 percent higher than last year.

The Red Sox lead baseball with a $350.78 FCI, followed by the Yankees ($337.20) and Cubs ($304.64). The lowest FCI belongs to the Diamondbacks at $126.89.

According to the report, the FCI "comprises the prices of four adult average-price tickets, two small draft beers, four small soft drinks, four regular-size hot dogs, parking for one car, two game programs and two least expensive, adult-size adjustable caps."

Which makes us wonder: If four people go to the game, why do two of them not get a beer and another two not get a cap or program?
