Walker, Spieth tied for lead at Pebble Beach

Jimmy Walker and Jordan Spieth have been nowhere close to each other in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in California - except atop the leaderboard.

Walker played bogey-free in the wind and rain at Spyglass Hill for a 3-under 69. Spieth was down the coast at Monterey Peninsula, where he made a birdie on his last hole, which he described as the best of his young career. That gave him a 4-under 67.

Champions Tour

Michael Allen matched the Champions Tour record with a 12-under 60, finishing the first round in Boca Raton, Fla., with an eagle and 10 birdies. Allen, 55, became the ninth player in the history of the 50-and-older tour to shoot 60 and the first to accomplish the feat on a par-72 course.

European Tour

Edoardo Molinari and Craig Lee share the halfway lead at 11 under par, while David Horsey charged into contention with a 63 to sit a shot off the pace in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Ladies Masters

Eight-time winner and defending champion Karrie Webb was disqualified for signing an incorrect scorecard after the second round. Webb signed for a second-straight 1-over 74, which would have made the cut. She quickly notified officials she had signed for par on the 12th when she had made bogey.
