2013 U.S. Open: ESPN, NBC Sports television schedule

The United States Golf Association has finalizezd the television schedule for this year's U.S. Open at Merion.

NBC and ESPN will combine to air 35 hours of live tournament coverage. That's three more than last year's 32 hours aired from The Olympic Club in San Francisco.

ESPN will show of the first two rounds (June 13 and 14) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern, with NBC airing two hours from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

NBC has the third and fourth rounds (June 15 and 16) exclusively, broadcasting on both days from 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

  • If a playoff is necessary, it will take place on Monday, June 17, starting at 12:00 p.m. ESPN will broadcast the first two hours and NBC will show the rest.

    In addition to all of this, the Golf Channel will have reports from Merion throughout every day of the event, including live action early in the morning.

    Saturday, June 15 (Third Round)

    7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.: Golf Channel and ESPN (live look-ins)
    11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: ESPN (SportsCenter at the U.S. Open)
    12:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.: NBC (live coverage)

    Sunday, June 16 (Final Round)

    12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.: ESPN2 (SportsCenter at the U.S. Open)
    2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.: ESPN2 (third round highlights)
    11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: ESPN (SportsCenter at the U.S. Open)

    12:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.: NBC (live coverage)

    Monday, June 17 (Playoff if necessary)

    12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.: ESPN2 (SportsCenter at the U.S. Open)
    1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.: ESPN2 (fourth round highlights)

    12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.: ESPN (live coverage)
    2:00 p.m. to conclusion: NBC (live coverage)
