Dodgers' Belisario arrested for DUI
California Highway Patrol officer Francisco Villalobos said Belisario was pulled over just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday in Pasadena after CHP officers observed him talking on his cell phone. Villalobos said officers then suspected Belisario had been drinking and placed him under arrest.
He was taken to the Pasadena Police Department and released on unspecified bail. He reported to Dodger Stadium as usual Saturday afternoon and pitched a third of an inning in a loss to Seattle.
"Whenever a member of your organization is said to be in violation of the law, it is disappointing," Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti said. "We will provide any help we can."
Dodgers spokesman Josh Rawitch said the team is still trying to confirm the facts.
