ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Wings evened their National Lacrosse League record and spoiled the Rochester Knighthawks' season opener last night with a 16-13 win at Blue Cross Arena.
Goalie Brandon Miller made 36 saves for the victory.
Kyle Wailes collected a goal and six assists for the Wings, who lost their season opener to defending champion Buffalo. Merrick Thomson had four goals and an assist.
Former Wing Gary Gait, who came out of retirement this season, scored his 600th career goal. He had five last night.
