Adam "Pacman" Jones appeared before a grand jury yesterday investigating a 2007 Las Vegas strip club shooting that left a man paralyzed and two others wounded.
The Las Vegas Sun reported that the grand jury questioned the suspended Dallas Cowboys cornerback for about 90 minutes behind closed doors.
Jones, 24, had agreed to tell authorities what he knew about the Feb. 19, 2007, shooting in return for an agreement to plead no contest last December to a disorderly conduct charge.
Police accused Jones of inciting a brawl at a strip club minutes before the shooting outside the club on the weekend of the 2007 NBA All-Star Game.
Jones' bodyguard,
Robert "Big Rob" Reid, also pleaded no contest to a disorderly conduct charge in the fight inside the club, and was sentenced to one year of probation.
The shooting investigation focuses on a 29-year-old Renton, Wash., man held in a Washington state jail on $1 million bail.

A federal judge has sided with the Washington Redskins in a lawsuit brought by American Indians who consider the team's nickname to be racially offensive.
A U.S. district judge in Washington said the plaintiffs waited too long to bring their case to court.

Notre Dame cornerback
Darrin Walls, one of the team's most productive players, will not be enrolled for the fall semester.
Walls started 11 of 12 games in 2007 and tied for the team lead with nine pass breakups.
Notre Dame said only that Walls is gone because of "personal reasons," with Irish coach
Charlie Weis saying he hoped for Walls' return in the spring.
Because there do not appear to be legal entanglements, it strongly suggests the matter is a Notre Dame school policy issue. Irish Illustrated, citing unnamed sources, reported that it is an academic matter.
