Phillies RHP Adam Eaton (2-5, 4.94) vs. Athletics RHP Rich Harden (4-0, 2.44)

Phillies update: The Phillies have struggled at the plate ever since their 20-2 win over the Cardinals on June 13. Heading into last night, Chase Utley was 1-for-29 before getting four straight hits, and Geoff Jenkins was 1-for-27 since that game. Pat Burrell (6-for-32) and Pedro Feliz (6-for-24) haven't fared much better ... Eaton has allowed 12 runs on 29 hits in his last three starts. Opponents are hitting .377 against him in that span ... Feliz and Greg Dobbs are the only Phillies batters who have faced Harden. Both are 0-for-4 ... Eaton is 1-1 with a 4.91 ERA in four career starts against the Athletics.

Athletics update: Harden missed a month with a shoulder strain, but has pitched well since returning. Since allowing five runs in his first start back from the DL, he hasn't allowed more than three runs in an outing ... Opponents are hitting .210 off Harden. Righties are hitting .179, lefties are hitting .245 ... Harden has 72 strikeouts in 59 innings pitched ... Harden has never faced the Phillies.
