The new contract, retroactive to July 1, 2007, will be officially announced today.
Bradshaw was named Temple's athletic director on June 27, 2002. Before that he was the AD at De Paul for 16 years (1986-2002) and at La Salle, his alma mater, for 9 (1977-86).
Perhaps the biggest change in his 6 years at Temple was the football team's switch from the Big East Conference to the Mid-American, where it is a football-only member.
But there have been several other noteworthy moves in his tenure.
He hired football coach Al Golden in 2005, and wooed Fran Dunphy from Penn to become the men's basketball coach after John Chaney retired in March 2006.
His next order of business is finding a replacement for women's basketball coach Dawn Staley, who left in May to take over the program at South Carolina. *
