The series: The Pistons won the series, 4-2, advancing to the Eastern Conference semifinals against Orlando. Game 1 begins at Detroit tomorrow night.
Turning point: A wiseguy might say the second half of Game 4, when the Pistons erased a 10-point deficit in a blink. Last night, it was the first 3 minutes of the game. The Sixers turned it over the first three times they had possession and found themselves in a 16-2 hole with less than half the quarter gone.
By the numbers: Willie Green's two free throws cut the Pistons' lead to 10-2 early in the game. The margin was never less than that.
Ye of little faith: After peaking with a crowd of 18,805 last Friday, huge gaps of seats were evident throughout the building last night - even in the lower bowl. The announced crowd was 14,130.
You know it's a rough night when ... The Sixers dance team nearly outscores you. They made three of their first five dunk tries off a trampoline between the first and second quarter, and four overall.
Yogi has nothing on this guy: Here's Mo Cheeks, before the game: "As I've talked about throughout the whole series, each game is a different challenge for us, and tonight will be no different." Last night, it got late early.
What's next: A summer of tinkering and retooling by team president Ed Stefanski.
