SPOKANE, Wash. - Evan Lysacek ended Johnny Weir's run of national titles, overwhelming the Chester County native with the performance of a lifetime last night in the final event of the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.

Weir ended up in third place, six points behind silver medalist Ryan Bradley, who moved ahead of him in last night's free skate at the Spokane Arena.

Lysacek shattered his personal best by 24 points with a total score of 248.88, which was 35.68 points better than Weir's 213.20.

All three will represent the United States in the world championships in March in Tokyo.

Weir, who fell once and stepped out of another jump, had won the last three national championships and was attempting to become the first man since Brian Boitano (1985-88) to win four in a row.
