Phantoms skewer Penguins, end skid

    Pete Zingoni scored two goals and Nolan Baumgartner added four assists to lead the Phantoms past the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, 7-2, last night in an AHL game at the Wachovia Spectrum.

    Darren Reid contributed a goal and two assists and Stefan Ruzicka scored and had an assist as the Phantoms (16-24-2-3) snapped a four-game losing streak.

    The seven goals - four on the power play - were a season high for the team.

    Lars Jonsson, Eric Meloche and Denis Tolpeko had the other goals for the Phantoms. Goalie Michael Leighton made 26 saves in his first start.
