series, a one-hour documentary on each of the previous 40 Super Bowl winners, will begin its countdown of the top 10 teams beginning with tonight's show at 9.

The top teams were chosen by a 53-person blue-ribbon panel of experts. According to a network source, the No. 1 team will be picked from among these four champions: the 1989 San Francisco 49ers (17-2), the 1985 Chicago Bears (18-1), the 1978 Pittsburgh Steelers (17-2), and the 1972 Miami Dolphins, who went 17-0.

In tonight's show, the 1976 Oakland Raiders will be featured as the No. 10 team.

Here is the rest of the NFL Network's schedule:

Tomorrow: Team No. 9 (2004 New England Patriots), 8 p.m.

Monday: Team No. 8 (1984 San Francisco 49ers), 8.

Monday: Team No. 7 (1975 Pittsburgh Steelers), 9.

Tuesday: Team No. 6 (1966 Green Bay Packers), 8:30.

Wednesday: Team No. 5 (1992 Dallas Cowboys), 8:30.

Tomorrow's show, featuring the 2004 Patriots, could have plenty of local interest, since the Pats beat the Eagles, 24-21, in that season's Super Bowl.

It reveals a unique pregame speech that New England coach Bill Belichick made to his team. Belichick detailed Philadelphia's parade plans for the Tuesday after the game.

"If he wanted to get a rise out of us by reading the parade route, he got a rise out of us, then leveled us off by saying what we had to do to win," Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi says in the show.

Beginning Friday, the final four teams will be featured. The No. 4 team will be the subject Friday at 8 p.m. on the NFL Network. No. 3 follows at 9.

The final two teams will air on CBS, with the No. 2 team on Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. and the No. 1 team following at 3.

The NFL Network will re-show the No. 2 team at 8 p.m. on Feb. 5, followed by the No. 1 team at 9 p.m.

Each Super Bowl-winning team has three or four players or coaches telling a story about the team.

The shows not only discuss what happened the year that the team won the Super Bowl but give a history of events that led to each team's rise.

Produced by NFL Films, America's Game is arguably one of the best sports documentary series ever made.
