Style:
The former Dickens Inn has found new life in the kitchen with chef Ben McNamara (formerly of the New Wave Cafe and Isabella's), who offers the city's best mix of homemade pub food and fine dining. The staunch darts-and-soccer crowd may or may not take to the fancier fare, but lovers of good food should rejoice.

Escargots; gnocchi; Cornish pastie; fish and chips; shepherd's pie; roast duck; monkfish with short ribs; lamb shank; veal chop with porcini; chicken cheesesteak; Death by Chocolate; key lime pie.
Alcohol:
WINE LIST Go for a pint of quaffable Tetley's ale on draft. The bar's famed single-malt Scotch collection is shrinking but still has at least 60 amazing bottles (including Springbank and Cadenhead).
Smoking:
Smoking permitted in the bars only.
Hours: Mon. (dinner only) Tue. - Sun. (Lunch, dinner and late night)
