Style:
This stylish cafe near Rittenhouse Square is a craft-beer emporium for yuppies, offering world-class brews and good wines by the glass with a light menu of cheese-centric Italianesque nibbles. The concept sometimes suffers from too much pretense and a cheese list that prizes obscurity over greatness. But it's clearly a good idea in the making.
Specialties:
Brie with strawberries; speck; caponata with feta; heirloom tomato salad; Spanish tuna sandwich; soppressata-fontina panino; strawberry and mascarpone bruschetta.
Alcohol:
DRINKS Ara bier from Belgium's De Dolle brewery, Lunacy from Heavyweight in Ocean Township, N.J., and Schneider Aventinus from Germany anchor one of the best-chosen beer lists in town. Wines by the glass are good but less extraordinary.
Hours: 7 days (lunch and dinner)
