Neighborhood: Old City - Society Hill
A cafe version of the popular chain of artisan bakeries The exterior is done up like an old pharmacy, with painted window signs, while inside, decorators have taken advantage of the high ceilings and glorious woodwork. There are a few tables by the door for eating, but much of the trade is takeout. The breakfast menu is built on Metropolitan's fine array of baked goods, whereas lunch brings a changing array of sandwiches.
