Article: Christine M. Flowers: Sadly, Scouting seems poised to give up the fight - 2 out of 116 total comment(s)
- Fri., 02/01/13 - 10:32 AMFlowers does. Don't you recall her rant in opposition to the "It Gets Better" campaign, designed to counter the depression and suicide of LGBT youth?
She's just a sick individual. - Fri., 02/01/13 - 09:18 AMJust ignore it like everyone else does, Mrs. S. It still believes Romney won the election.

- Thu., 01/31/13 - 15:09 PMYou expected otherwise? C'mon. She can't give someone the time of day or comment on the weather without going into abortion or homosexuality. It's a sickness and she needs help.
- Thu., 01/31/13 - 15:07 PMAmazing, isn't it? When there were 3 channels, there was quality. Now we have 1000 channels to pick from--one for every imaginable demographic--and 99 percent of it is complete garbage.

Article: Christine M. Flowers: American right to birth control? - 1 out of 89 total comment(s)
- Sun., 12/02/12 - 18:40 PMHere's a solution to the problem. If organizations wish to opt out of funding birth control via their health plan then they should then be required to pay the employee and additional sum in the amount equal to the difference between a healthcare plan that includes birth control and one that doesn't. The employee can use that money as he/she sees fit and the employer need not how it was spent. The employee gets equal compensation as if they were employed at a non-backwards thinking operation and the employer can be satisfied that they didn't directly supply the birth control.

- Thu., 11/15/12 - 11:01 AMThank you!
Back in the day, there were only the Sunday morning talk shows and Washington Week on PBS. The latter was, and still is, especially notable for its civil dialogue between panelists from across the political spectrum. They are patient and polite. They disagree, but do not shout one another down.
Unfortunately, that no longer sells. It's considered a snorefest by today's audience. We've been brought down to the Jerry Springer/World wrestling level of Fox News and Hardball.
Article: Christine M. Flowers: Picture this: People who have right to vote, and can prove it! - 2 out of 140 total comment(s)
- Fri., 10/05/12 - 08:56 AMThat's our Flowers... always the paragon of compassion.
- Fri., 10/05/12 - 08:05 AMIt's fine to support voter ID law, but just how many otherwise disenfranchised people did YOU assist in getting their necessary paperwork to vote, Flowers? Or were you just willing to let them fall through the cracks? Ted is rolling in his grave.

- Thu., 09/13/12 - 13:42 PMLOL. No worries.
Warren Zevon was the man. - Thu., 09/13/12 - 09:34 AMYou're rather cap happy, yourself. Prove that you are an intelligent person and limit your capitals to proper nouns and the first words of sentences.

- Wed., 08/29/12 - 19:07 PMGetEm, like you, I was waiting for Mrs. Romney to drop a funny anecdote and she never did. If the guy's best material is about how there's no question about his birth certificate, she needs to rethink that claim. Her speech was okay. I didn't learn anything from it, but she didn't turn me off, either. She sounded a lot like that Delilah woman from the radio. I agree that Gov. Krispy Kreme was campaigning for himself, rather than Romney. Overall, I thought Bob McDonnell probably gave the best speech of the evening. Artur Davis, who I was not familiar with was solid as well. The boob prize of the night went to Rick Santorum, who came out sounding like a WWF wrestler. Made me glad he's not on the ticket.

Article: Same-sex marriage: Who says it’s a right? - 5 out of 180 total comment(s)
(View comments
)- Fri., 05/18/12 - 19:46 PMAnyone who's going to argue for sanctity needs to start with the states where the age of consent is 14. Just my opinion, but that's more harmful to society than two dudes or two chicks.
- Fri., 05/18/12 - 10:55 AMI'm not so sure she chose to not have sex or procreate so much as she couldn't find a man desperate enough with whom to do it. Having to watch same sex couples enjoying the love and companionship of one another that she will never experience must be really difficult for this lonely old harridan. That's why she harbors the hostility that she does. It's kind of sad when you think about it.
- Fri., 05/18/12 - 10:37 AMThanks for your response, Christine.
- Fri., 05/18/12 - 08:55 AMDon't forget about the GAY TAXES they insist on paying. Imagine those gay dollars being used to fund our military, schools, infrastructure and so on.
The nerve of some people. - Fri., 05/18/12 - 08:54 AMYes, HypoChrissy, do tell us why you're so opposed to same sex marriage. Given how much you regularly whine about it, one has to be convinced there's more to your reasoning than "not wanting to be steamrolled into recognizing a constitutional right that, as yet, doesn’t exist."
There has to be some personal feelings on the matter and I can't wait for you to share them with us. Will it "devalue" heterosexual marriages? Will it warp the minds of the precious children? Is it because you think what two naked men do together is just "icky?" Do share.

- Wed., 05/16/12 - 17:48 PMIt's just further evidence of how much of an arrogant, stuck-up unt-cay you really are that you find it appropriate to mock people for doing a job to make an honest living.
Blog Post: The wages of a true 'war' - 1 out of 27 total comment(s)
- Sat., 05/05/12 - 15:00 PMTalk about the potty and the kettle. Not that I give a rat's fanny what you or Hypochristra think of me. In fact I don't read anything that she posts, as it was established long ago that 95% of her comments involve her kissing Ms. Flowers' rear end. The other 5% is a bunch of silliness written in a dead language which I have no interest in translating.
My remarks are directed at the author and to no one else. She continues to whine incessantly about a problem, yet takes no concrete steps to do anything about it. I've seen her type before. They're called occupiers.

- Tue., 05/01/12 - 14:37 PMIsn't it cute how our favorite town drunk latches on to a new complaint about Obama and then continues to beat it senselessly into the ground for weeks at a time? Doesn't matter what Obama does, its wrong. I have no idea which foot Obama puts the first sock on, but I'm pretty sure PlumberJoe does and it's the wrong foot.

- Sat., 04/28/12 - 11:34 AMHypochrissy must really like me, since she didn't call me out by name. Oooooh well! :-)
It's so cute how she'll whine about the fetus on an almost weekly basis in her column and even more frequently in her little blog-o-diatribes, yet she does nothing to be part of the solution. C'mon, Hypochrissy... with all of that lawyer money you make you should be able to adopt an unwanted fetus or two. Stop whining and start acting!

- Thu., 04/19/12 - 13:23 PMFloral girl, I'll be praying nightly to the spirit of Kate Smith.
- Thu., 04/19/12 - 12:14 PMI rarely disagree with you, Sophistry, but you have to admit that Flowers' odes to the Flyers are much more appreciated than her toxic rants on women, gays, abortions, and religion. I'd take the sports poetry any day.

)- Fri., 02/17/12 - 11:06 AMWasn't yesterday "Be nice to a grouch day" or some nonsense like that? Perhaps we should have pitched in and sent this troglodyte of an author a present.
- Fri., 02/17/12 - 10:05 AMOh trust me, I know I don't have to read these columns. I read them because I find them completely humorous, and not in the I'm laughing *with* Christine kind of way. It's on the same level as watching the Jerry Springer show, really. Week after week, imagining this poor lonely pathetic undersexed woman come completely unglued and apoplectic over the same slate of topics is just plain entertaining. Christine is my court(room) jester.
