)- Sat., 11/03/12 - 11:33 AMI think you're right about how bad Snider wants another Cup but he finds himself in a tight spot and unable to do much about the situation. If he stands anywhere to long on either side of this issue, the other will just claim he is speaking out of both sides of his mouth.
- Sat., 11/03/12 - 11:28 AMI don't care anymore. Even if they come to an agreement now, I won't be watching Hockey again until Gary Bettman is fired, retired or dead. Gary Bettman is the worst thing to happen to any major sport ... EVER!!
If you want to play the blame game... 65% blame goes to the owners and their 2 mutts Bettman and Daly, while 35% blame goes to the players and Fehr. At one point I was 50/50 but after the league turned down all 3 player proposals the last time I changed.
And if I hear one more idiot from either side chant anything about how they love the game and their fans, I'm gonna puke. I feel used and abused right now. Each side dangles us the fans in each others face to use us as leverage in an attempt to force the other side to come to a quicker agreement, but it's all about the money, as the current situation proves. We all knew this day would come when an agreement of some sort would have to be made and yet no serious discussions were held until 2 weeks before training camp.
When Bettman is finally fired, retired or dead, then I'LL take stock of the product on the ice and I'LL decide if I want to give the NHL another shot at being my winter sport of CHOICE. Until then I'll have to watch Basketball... if I can stay awake longer than the first quarter.
Note: ESPN bring on the KHL, and screw the NHL
