Left turn signals (updated) - This is an update to my previous post. I meant to say that even though I live in the suburbs, I commute a long distance and work in Northeast Philly. I applaud PENNDOT and/or Streets Department for repaving Harbison Avenue, however the next traffic lights erected did not include left turning signal lights. Why not? Don't the city officials think it's important to SAFELY negotiate a left turn without risking your life turning in front on oncoming traffic or making a left turn when the light is red? HELLO, IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE? You are free to contact me to hear my recommendations on this issue as well as other issues. Oh and by the way, Tabor Avenue from Adams Avenue to Martin's Mill Road needs to redone. I can't tell you how many potholes and unleveled spots there are there...Also recommend adding a stop light to determine speeders from going 70+ mph in a 35 mph (maybe it's 25 mph) zone (Tabor Avenue from Adams to Martin's Mill Road). Who is the councilperson for this district? If he or she is reading this or one of the residents in this district, take notice and get it FIXED!~

Left Turn Signals - Why is there a COMPLETE absence of Left Turn Signals in Northeast Philly? I live in the suburbs (Thank God!) but unfortunately live in Northeast Philly..there is a lot of traffic, especially during rush hour, which is 6:30-9:30 am and 3:30-6:30 pm. I can name at least 10 interesections that sorely need Left Turn Signals in Northeast Philly..why do I get a feeling that the Northeast is stuck in the 70's? Why can't Northeast Philly citizens, elected officials, PENNDOT, and City of Philadelphia Traffic Division do something about it? Oh and also the Roosevelt Blvd..what a disgrace! It's almost 100 years old and needs to be demolished and new plans created...Let's change our city folks..one thing at a time..speak up and do something...elected officials, city officials...DO SOMETHING!
