Bradley, McCoy free, but -- Brian Billick?

UncleStosh I am glad you are not the only one besides me trying to point this out. The guy literally had the highest scoring offense in NFL history, won a SB with Trent Dilfer, and is one of the most forward looking people in the NFL with a nose for using technology to maxime time, efficiency, and productivity. I watched a news piece once about Billick and how he had this network video system installed for the Ravens where the software could take any formation entered and come up with every single legal play you could run from that formation, and it also matched it up against all possible defensive formations. The guy is a genius when it comes to football, he's a proven leader, and just like every coach his time ran out and he needed a change in direction. I think he would be a great fit here.

Garner hit the nail on the head. You couch morons have no idea what you are talking about. People who actually research the NFL and coaches know Billick is NOTHING like Reid and would be the best hire the Eagles could make. I love Billick and hope the Eagles pick him. Guys a proven winner who can motivate and maximize talent

Eagles pass messy first test

We were lucky to win that game. One bad play by Bradford coupled with the loss of STeven Jackson and the game was given to us. Once again Andy Reid tried his best to blow it for us, and Castillo looked thoroughly lost. I still say 10-6, wild card team, out in the 1st round at best. At worst, 6-10 and no playoffs.

Eagles need to bring back Kevin Kolb and Michael Vick to quarterback

You could not be more wrong with this article, Ashley. Kolb needs to be STARTING. If he is not, then the Eagles must trade him to get draft picks. It makes zero sense for the Eagles to keep Kolb so he can hold a clipboard for one year and then walk off into Free Agency without the Eagles getting so much as a glow stick for him. Horrible article.

NFC playoff picture: Eagles-Packers in 1st round

Why is it not surprising to me that people are worried about who and when and where the Eagles will play in the playoffs when we all know the result will be the same: no Super Bowl ring. Until Andy Reid is fired and we get someone in here who can:
1. Manage the clock.
2. Manage timeouts.
3. Balance the offense.
4. Properly evaluate talent.
5. Play to their team's strengths.
and last but most important:
6. MAKE GAME DAY AND IN GAME ADJUSTMENTS.
The Eagles are not going anywhere. And any of you people who think differently are simply delusional.
By the way, Kolb should be the QB. Vick is simply playing for a contract. All he cares about is the money, not a SB ring. Once he gets his contract, he will revert back to his old ways. Mark my words.

Eagles clinch NFC East; playoff scenarios

I'm afraid you are incorrect in your 4 way tie at 12-4 where you say the Eagles would be the #1 seed. In that scenarios, the Saints actually win out. Here's how:
Saints and Falcons go to a division tiebreaker, and the Saints win that at 5-1 vs. 4-2 for Atlanta. Now you have Chicago, Saints, and Eagles at 12-4.
The tiebreaker then becomes Head to Head sweep. Doesn't apply here.
The tiebreaker then becomes best conference record, and the Saints would be 10-2, where as the Eagles and Bears would be 9-3. So the Saints get 1st seed, Bears get second via Head to Head over Eagles, and Eagles get third.

Where's all the Vick lovers now? I thought when Kolb threw checkdowns all day against Washington people said you couldn't do that to Mike Vick, his arm was too strong, he's too dangerous out of the backfield. Where are you all now? Probably licking your wounds along with this fraud of a team. Kolb should be our starting QB but this game was a step in the right direction, if that direction is getting Reid canned.

Phil Sheridan: Are quarterbacks really the key?

Hey Sheridan, Plunkett has two Super Bowl rings. And he's also the only multiple Super Bowl winning QB who is NOT in the Hall of Fame. Your quality is starting to slip, Phil. Better quit mailing it in on half of your articles or before you know, Jeff McClane will be sitting at your desk. He's already 10 times the writer you are.

McNabb dealt to Redskins

This is the worst move in the history of the Eagles organization. They will RUE THE DAY they got rid of their best player and the greatest QB in the history of this franchise. I have said it all along and will state it categorically again now: McNabb was not the problem, Reid is, and if anyone had to go, it should have been Reid. I am in disbelief and about to disown this franchise. I am literally sick to my stomach.

Reid: 'They Outplayed Us in Every Phase'

Reid needs to go, end of discussion. I've been saying it since last season. His scheme has run its course here in the NFL. He is incapable of taking this team any further than he already has. Let's get a real coach in here who isn't outcoached by a guy who punches out assistant coaches.
Sun., 10/18/09 - 20:28 PM
This is arguably the worst loss in the history of the Andy Reid era. I don't care how many cheesesteaks he stuffed down his fat face before the plane ride out there, or how many plates of sushi he swallowed at halftime. It is INEXCUSABLE for him to throw the ball 56 times against the 31st ranked run team in the league when you are averaging almost 7 yards a carry. It's time for Reid to go. I said it last year and I'll say it again: His message has gotten old and his cheesesteak eating ways have run their course here in PHI. He is incapable of taking this time any further than he already has. Reid is a fat, overmatched, underprepared, stubborn, hoagie eating piece of shit who needs to get his head rammed into a plate glass window to try and knock some sense into him.

Maclin=Terrible pick. He plays in a conference that is notorius for its lack of good defenses. There is no telling how he will handle himself in the NFL when he is playing top tier talent week in and week out. Way to ignore our needs Andy and go with Value as if you think you are 1 rookie WR away from the Super Bowl.
