I don't believe him for a minute. "Matthews said his fiancee was wearing his jersey, making her easily identifiable." GET REAL. What are the chances that the fans would know that she was his fiancee because she had his Jersey on. If that's the cause I was married to Brian Dawkins for 8 years and never knew it. I should at least be getting alimony.

How many article are the beat reporters from these two lame newspapers going to write about this is not a guarantee that they win it all. Hoffman and Fitzpatrick. Come on, just enjoy the moment and the story. Lee followed his heart and not the money, What a great team this is to be on and why. Jay_Gax. re-read my post. Was responding to "dedhed" saying they've always sucked. Hard to say they've always sucked when they've won 5 Superbowl's. You have to give them credit for that. That's was my point. When you say you don't hear "us talking about that" I think you assume I'm a Cowboys fan, wrong. Was born and raised an Eagles fan. Grew up watching Norm Snead, Bill Bergey, Harold Jackson, etc... Grew up hearing my Dad telling me about the Championship games at Connie Mack & Franklin Field. Remember the 1st game I ever saw was at Franklin field. And yes I'll give the Eagles props for the Championship games they won. That's not living in the past, it recognizing it. But unlike you I don't drink the "dedhed" Kool-aid and I can acknowledge that a team that has won 5 Superbowl's has to recognized for that fact. Doesn't mean I don't hate them, b/c I do, I just respect what they accomplished. If you'll notice I said I hate them. And I'll trade 5 Superbowl's for one win over Lombardi in the playoffs any day.
Fri., 12/10/10 - 13:14 PM
"dedhed" were you even watching the last two Eagles games last year. Have you watched the last 4 games Dallas has played since they fired Wade Philips. They always have sucked, Cowboys have played in a record eight Super Bowls and won five times. Eagles have won how many? As much as I hate them, you cannot deny they fact that they have accomplished something the Eagles have not, big time. Also, this is not going to be an easy game, especially with Samuel out. Not saying they are going to lose. I think they win, but not in a blowout.

Vick's finances remain under scrutiny

Sat., 12/04/10 - 17:45 PM
Since the Eagles have 10 days since they play another game I guess this is the quality of news stories we have to look forward to. First Ashley Fox writes a Pulitzer Prize article on "Eagles miss an opportunity to soothe Jackson," the day after the beat the Texans. Now we have this piece of trash tabloid journalism. I'm not surprised the writer of this article didn't have the balls to sign their names to it, that's assuming Ashley didn't completely go over the edge with two moronic articles in a row. This is just another example of why I find myself turning to CSNPhilly for articles and that's not saying much. As sports fans we should be able to trade reporters to other cities.

Bob Ford: Vick overcomes drops and duress
- 1 out of 38 total comment(s)
Mon., 11/22/10 - 11:21 AM
I agree "iamkingdunlap", Vick was exposed. He was exposed as someone who could face surmounting pressure all night and still get the win. He was exposed as somebody who could go up against the league's number 1 defense and still put up 258 yards, no interceptions and should have had 2 touchdown passes if only his normally sure handed receivers didn't drop easy touchdowns. He was exposed as someone who could deliver the ball under that pressure. He was exposed as someone who still has great escape ability. He was exposed as somebody who when the game is on the line is able to make a play which led to the game-winning touchdown. He was exposed as somebody who is 5-0 in games that he's finished. You're right "iamkingdunlap" he was exposed and I hope that the rest of the teams that play the Eagles took notice that even if your entire game plan is to stop Vick, this team still has the enough players to get a victory. If this team can play this poorly and still beat the Giants, I am booking my invasive pat down to Dallas in January. As long as they don't touch my junk. Go Eagles!!!

Landry says he's no dirty player
- 1 out of 46 total comment(s)
Tue., 11/16/10 - 11:46 AM
I don't have a problem with the comment. Coming out like pit bulls has always meant coming out to attack because that is what those dogs are know for. He wasn't bringing up old memories. The fact that he said it just shows that they have moved beyond it unlike so many of the fans around the nation. It was just a slip of the tongue but the fact that he used that reference shows that it's not an issue in the locker room. Yes it was horrible and something was sick in his soul, but he paid his time, seems to have changed. When are we going to get over this and enjoy a great example of redemption. ESPN reported that Vick is quietly going to schools each week without cameras around talking about the horrors of dog fighting. The Humane Society said he is making a difference. Like McNabb never getting over being booed at the draft I guess this is something that some people can just never get past.

Vick on his sliding: "It won't happen"

I have to admit I was one of the ones that thought the Eagles were crazy when they signed this guy. I called him dog killer and everything else. But over the last two years with the exception of one hiccup, I have to admit he has won me over. That doesn't mean I approve of what he's done, but which one of us is not in need of forgiveness. He's worked hard, he's learned from his mistakes, he spends time studying, he's one of the first ones there and the last to leave and if I had to choose between him and Donovan, the model citizen, to go into a game that we had to win, I would take Vick over McNabb any day. I just hope the offense line can hold up so this guy doesn't get crushed. If it does, I'm not saying they can win the Super Bowl, but who knows, if they get the breaks any given team can beat any other team on any given day. Bring on the Deadskins.

All you guys crying about Rollins leading off need to chill out. Because of Polanco's injury, Charlie said he rearranged the Phillies' lineup. Originally, Shane Victorino was going to lead off, with Polanco hitting second and Jimmy Rollins batting seventh. Instead, Manuel moved Rollins into the leadoff hole, hit Victorino second and inserted Wilson Valdez at third base, batting eighth. RELAX and enjoy the game.

N.J. Gov. Christie admits he's a Cowboys fan

Not sure why everybody is criticizing a politician for finally being honest for once. Frankly I'm tired of all the Hillary Clinton types going around rooting for teams to further their own political careers. For those who don't live in NJ, Christie is finally a politician who tells you what he thinks and isn't pandering for votes. Would I like him to be an Eagles fan, sure, but I am more interested in my governor lowering taxes, balancing budgets, and fixing the economy, something he is trying to do especially after the Dem's McGreevey (appoint my lover to Head of the State Dept.of Homeland Security) and Corzine (pay-to-play politics,)screwed it all up. If Christie can fix this mess than he can own the cowgirls for all I care. I wonder how people in Pittsburgh feel about Rendell rooting for the Philly teams, just another dumb Dem political hack representing all the idiots posting here.

Eagles take safety Allen, then wheel and deal
- 1 out of 55 total comment(s)
Sat., 04/24/10 - 09:35 AM
All you Eagles fans posting negative comments know nothing. After all, what team needs a #1 wide receiver year in year out, who needs a good short yardage back who can pound the ball, whats with all the running of the ball, passing is much more exciting, we really don't need a balanced offense. It's cool to trade your players and draft picks to division rivals, it makes you friends. We really didn't needs all those 2nd and 3rd round players. Sure if the Eagles stayed at No.55, they could have drafted either Vladimir Ducasse, the 6-4, 330-pound tackle from UMass or Jared Veldheer, a 6-8, 315-pound tackle from Hillsdale, but our offensive line is fine the way it is. Size doesn't matter, no seriously, it doesn't. I know that may make some of you men feel better, but it's a well kept secret that undersized defensive lineman are the way of the future. Yeah we have been trying to find a great OLB for years now, but give it time, if you thrown enough s..t against the wall some of it is going to stick. It's better to rebuild a team on 4th and 5th round picks other than 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick, really, it is, no seriously. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks rarely pan out. Intelligent people know that it's the 4th and 5th round picks where dynasties are built. Yeah, you Eagles fans posting negative comments about the skillful and intelligent way Reid and Co are taking advantage of those other dopes maneuvering their way down the draft board to where the real talent is in the 4th and 5th know absolutely nothing.

Some of you Eagles are just nauseating. I'm the last to defend many of there moves, but they could sign Manning and there would be those idiots saying he's getting to old. Would you quite your crying about every little move they make and for once just say good move if you know nothing instead of posting solely to read back your uneducated analysis. Sims is marquee player who will not compete for the position, but start, he can play all three linebacker spots, and he can cover a TE better than any of the LB on the team now. Over 100 tackles his first three years and 49 last year when he was hurt most of the year and only played 11 games. I'm sure he will get a complete physical. This was a great trade for a 5th round pick and Philly fans are going to love it later, well except those who post here who parents were related.

I think Lee is the smart move. They want our top two prospects and Happ. Drabek and Brown seem to be the real deal. Remember when they wanted Ryan Howard in a trade. Halladay wants to test free agency. Lee comes cheaper, is younger, won the CY young last year. In three starts since the break Lee is 3-0 with 1.44 ERA, 14 strikeouts and no walks in 25 innings. They get to keep Drabek and one other top prospect. Don't get me wrong I love Halladay, but if Lee can pitch as well I think it's the right move for them.
