Mayberry should be starting and batting 5th. Ibanez is adequate to come off the bench and sub in LF. Francisco has too much pressure at 5 and could be an adequate 7 hitter a la 2008 Pedro Feliz (If you dont bring up Brown). If Chase comes back close to Healthy, youre O lineup isnt bad: JRoll/Poly/Chase/Howard/Mayberry/Vic/BenFran/Chooch/Ptchr

I dont remember seeing him on a lot of commercials here, and they have television, radio and retail products to endorse in DC too. He became the face of their franchise immediately there and was an above average role player here. Cant fault him for leaving, but he deserved the boos for his comments.

This is a good deal by RAJ. 1.5 year commitment to Oswalt at 24M, and Ed Wade is paying half of it. Cost us a 4th starter who hasnt played all year and 2 low level prospects. Keeping Lee would have made us odds on favorites this year, and left us with work to do in '11 when he bolts. Now you have 3 Stud pitchers locked in for at least 2 playoff runs.

I agree completely with Daystrum. Trade Blanton and Moyer for Oswalt, then trade Ruiz for Joe Mauer, We could dump Ibanez for Hamilton, and trade Valdez for Miguel Cabrera until Utley gets back. Yanks want Werth so bad? Lets trade him for Sabathia and Cano. Then this winter, we will give Cliff Lee a 6 year 100 million deal.

1 year deal is absolutely the right move. Does not show a lack of faith in Kolb at all, if anything it will ease his mind that this isnt a contract year for him. No young player like Kolb or DeSean is going to agree to a long term deal with that 30% restriction, and no front office is going to offer a long term contract making up the difference in guaranteed money.

this is a great move, clearly FO has no faith in Kolb and most likely, Vick isnt going to be ready to run an offense until late this year if at all. Problem is- they cant keep 4 qb, and vick would have to change his uni #7 if they take him out of the qb rotation on the depth chart. I bet they cut kolb after week 3

McNabb didnt look bad yesterday. The receivers dropped good passes early on. Kolb is terrible, but FO overvalued and overpaid paid him. since they refuse to admit a mistake they cut a serviceable backup QB in AJ Feeley and cost the team a game next week. No way Kolb hangs with drew brees.
