Unless Howard and Rollins both hit .280 and someone in the mix of corner OFs can hit 25-30 HRs, the Flyers are the best bet to parade down Broad Street in 2011. But yeah best of times for Philly fans. Can't wait for the next game no matter who's playing.

Jayson who? The Seattle trade would not have been a mistake if all or even one of the players Ruben got back had not been monumental busts. They need major pop from their junk drawer of corner outfielders to overcome Ryan the Whiff Howard and Jimmy .230 Rollins or another good staff like SF or Boston will shut them down in October.

Sorry 0880, I don't know the line up will pick up again. Remember last year when Ibanez, Victorino, and Werth were All-Stars? Now they're Good Morning, Good Evening, and Good Night. I always expect them to lose 1 up in the 9th when Brad "Remember me from 2008?" Lidge comes into the game. Billy Wagner 22 saves, 1.13 ERA for the Braves. Barring injury, the Braves aren't folding like the 2007-8 Mets. Prove me wrong Phils! It's going to take at least one 8-10 game winning streak to get back into it.

Why do you have to go to L.A. for "a couple shots"? They don't have medicine in Philly? Five hours sitting on a plane (even a private Gulfstream) is not good for anyone's back. There's so much more to the story that we'll never know. Every NFC East game is must-win to win the division. Carolina is must-win for the wild card. Won't matter who's playing QB if the O line sucks or the D puts the O in a 3 TD hole.

As we're leading the division by 15 games in September, I hope we see all these prospects (those who are left, anyway) called up. Drabek and Carrasco, of course, but I want to see Taylor and Brown. If the window for the Phils is as close to closing as Halladay fans would have us believe, I'd like to see our outfield of the next decade.

eaglessuperfan, I don't think Happ is going to win a Cy Young but he's going to get more than a few Rookie of the Year votes. I agree with Jim M., dangle Drabek if that's the key to the deal. Try to unload Kendrick and maybe even Madson instead of all our top prospects.

History shows #36 is likely to miss 1 or 2 games with injuries and will probably play 1 or 2 more at 75% because he's a gamer. The RB they draft will have to "replace" him in those games. He has to be a starting-caliber, Pro-Bowl-in-2-years RB. Who do the Eagles like? That's what I want to know.
