Are you kidding ? A right handed reliever ? What about Lidge and Matson. They are almost expendable in lieu of recent results. Now you want to add to add to these two. When will everyone pitch ? I would give up Victorino and Madson or Lidge for Pence. But fuggetaboutit. This guy is a future Hall of Famer

Agree with most of what is related here. However, Ben Francisco is not close to being a "fine outfielder". He will cost a few games in right.

I am sorry if you think me frivolous, but no way can a guy who looks like Richie Cunningham lead a "smash mouth" defense. Think of Ronald Regan looking like PeeWee Herman and being as effective.

As usual Andy demonstrated his inability to think on his feet. I have never seen a poorer game day coach. He could not adjust for the various blitz schemes being thrown at Vick as someone was in his face on virtually every play. Furthermore, Richie Cunningham disguised as a defensive coordinator ( a guy who looks like that could never run a smash mouth defense) could not put anywhere the same kind of heat on a rookie receiver playing QB.
Vick was obviously off last night. However for the most part he hung in there taking a beating along the way. It was too obvious who was the better team on this night

Dump Victorino. Keep Wirth and move him to center. He will play for less here than elsewhere. Put Domonic in right. The big problem is 4 leftys in the line up. Howard has lost it never to return. I have seen it with other sluggers. I would like to move him but I am not sure it is possible with the contract. The irony is that I am convinced that Thome has more value

They are just not that good at the plate. They are undisciplined guessers. Maybe there is some truth to the assertion that their hitting stopped after the sign stealing fiasco was unearthed. Yo

Its all too familiar. The bad time out calls. Who blows 12 seconds in the fourth quarter then calls time out?? Andy and Don. Who calls a timeout rather than take the five when it would have given the punter more room and then has the gall to defend it by saying he wanted every yard he could get. But you know its over when Dono drops the shoulders and assumes the hang dog look of a loser.. Yes its all too familiar.
