- Mon., 11/22/10 - 13:02 PMRobert 88: Vick made a mistake and went to prison and paid his debt to society. That is more than what you can say about all of the Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hiltons of the world who have committed multiple crimes and not really been punished for what they have done
Article: Victim restitution lags badly in Phila. - 2 out of 41 total comment(s)
- Sun., 11/21/10 - 22:38 PMI disagree that there are not enough jobs for criminals or non-criminals. If I were to lose my job today, you can bet I would be getting a job tomorrow, even if it meant slinging burgers for the local fast food joint. There are jobs out there for people to get, it is just a question of motivation.
- Sun., 11/21/10 - 16:49 PMYet another example of the City of Philadelphia not being able to get their money problems under control. They cannot get victim restitution, owed bail monies, unpaid tickets, or unpaid taxes. The only people that are losing out in this deal are the stand up citizens who are foolishly paying their share.
Blog Post: Four Loko inspires lovestruck teen - 2 out of 25 total comment(s)
- Sun., 11/21/10 - 14:17 PMI agree that the government needs to get their noses out of the public's business. The only "right" way to get rid of something like this is for people not to buy / consume the product. We know that is not going to happen.....
- Fri., 11/19/10 - 13:41 PMThe problem with this energy/alcohol drink is that the person drinking it is "awake" (increased energy, etc) much longer and allows them to drink more of the product which is 12% alcohol. This leads to a higher blood alcohol content and increases the risk of alcohol poisoning.

Article: Philadelphia district attorney admits mistakes in recent purge of fugitive cases - 1 out of 44 total comment(s)
- Sat., 11/20/10 - 13:56 PMIt is amazing that this is occurring with the economic situation that the City of Philadelphia is in. The City thinks nothing of sending out the parking authority storm troopers to increase revenue for the city, yet it is willing to part with a large amount of unpaid bail monies because there is no one on the city payroll with the time to go find these people, prosecute them and collect the monies due to the City. If a private business was run this way, it would drive itself in to the ground.
