Duck Boat Audio: 'Ferry! Ferry! Ferry!'
The following is an edited version of audio files from the U.S. Coast Guard regarding the duck boat that capsized after being struck by a barge in the Delaware River. Silence and white noise have been removed. The transmissions were made about 2:30 p.m., July 7. The Coast Guard launched boat crews from Station Philadelphia and Aids to Navigation Team Philadelphia and an MH-65C Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., to rescue those in distress. ***Click on the "Listen with your own player" link to hear the audio.
