Style: Reopened under new owner Mark Bee, Silk City is in the center of the action in this eclectic neighborhood. The menu is old time comfort food favorites, updated classics and one of the city's best brunches. The 1950's stainless steel dining car radiates a warm red glow; there's an adjoining club where disco ball chandeliers illuminate black velvet paintings. An eclectic, vibrant crowd comes nightly for a variety of live bands and DJs in a truly unique setting.

Alcohol: A small list of eclectic value wines, like a crisp white Argentine Torrontes. Also, a nice selection of craft beers, like Brooklyn's Belgian-style No. 1, and quaffable mixed drinks.
Hours: Dinner every night, 5 p.m.-1 a.m. Brunch Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
