Renaissance Ball
The Philadelphia/Delaware Valley Chapter of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) held its 34th annual Renaissance Ball to raise money for research, education and support programs for people coping with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. This year's event took place at the Hyatt Regency at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia. Along with dinner and dancing, the Renaissance Ball also featured speeches by honorees, selected by CCFA for their exemplary dedication in helping find a cure for Crohn's and colitis. This year's honorees, introduced by emcee Lu Ann Cahn of NBC-10, included: David Eingorn, M.D., Man of the Year, of Newtown, Pa.; Sharon Alloy, D.O., Woman of the Year, of Wynnewood, Pa.; and F. Wilson Jackson, M.D., Physician of the Year, of Mechanicsburg, Pa. Ball Chairpersons, Robin and Barry Abelson, of Bryn Mawr, Pa., were instrumental in the planning of this successful evening. www.ccfa.org
