SnapGlow.TV is at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week! Amelia Earhart meets the wings of glorious bird celebrating the freedom of flight! That’s the Fall 2010 collection for Project Runway season six winner Irina Shabayeva. Beyond the aviator type caps and jackets, there were hand beaded wool cocktail dresses with fur collars, and even a stunning strapless dress with a full skirt of feathers. The most surprising element was not the fabulous feathers, but the lowly plastic material of Tupperware. Yes. Tupperware.There are Tupperware earrings that look like bird feathers. Tupperware bird necklaces too. The swag bags on the guest chairs even had Tupperware in them! On one garment, it was used almost like a hoop skirt used to be to lift up a full skirt on a dress.PETA won’t be happy with this collection, but the eye-popping, fantasy collection is sure to stir the imagination.
