Fairmount Fashion
Ah! The last throws of warm weather this past weekend! Visit Fairmount on a sunny weekend day and you'll be treated to a slice of Philly life. Tucked behind the Art Museum, this vibrant neighborhood is full of action. Young families and groups of friends head out to brunch at Mug Shots, or browse the shops along Fairmount Avenue. Tourists and local history buffs wait in line for tours of the Eastern State Penitentiary. Excited kids board the Girard Street Trolley to visit the Zoo, or beg their parents for an ice cream cone at Philly Flavors. And throughout the residential streets, locals tend their tiny gardens, greet their neighbors or just sit on the steps enjoying the sun.
