More than 550 guests attended Lankenau Hospital's 150th Anniversary Gala, held Saturday at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The benefit, chaired by Kathleen and Alfred Putnam, Martha and Wistar Morris, Penny and Warren Weiner, and Kim and Dr. Frank McGeehin, grossed more than $1 million for the hospital. The black-tie gala began with cocktails in the Great Stair Hall, followed by dinner of pan-roasted filet mignon and seared branzino in the museum's East Terrace. George Gephart, chairman of Main Line Health's board of trustees, announced that Lankenau's name had been officially changed to Lankenau Medical Center, reflecting the hospital's commitment to patient care, medical education, and research in cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes.

The Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation held its 10th Anniversary Gala Oct. 2 at the Trust Venue in Old City. Awards were presented to Dr. Jeff Boyd of Fox Chase Cancer Center, who received the Angela Carlino Excellence in Ovarian Cancer Research Award, and Lisa Loonstyn, who was given the Donna Webb Spirit of Survivorship Award. The 330 guests enjoyed dinner and dessert catered and donated by Laura and Pat Carlino of Carlino's in Ardmore. The evening, cochaired by Antony and Jamie Joffe and Marc and Joan Weinstein, raised more than $80,000 for the foundation to support ovarian cancer research.

Devereux Pennsylvania held its 12th annual benefit, "Emerald City . . . There's No Place Like Devereux," Oct. 2 at the Hyatt at the Bellevue. Gregory Dupee, senior vice president and financial consultant with RBC Wealth Management, received the Cheryl and Howard Hassman Devereux Leadership Award on behalf of RBC. The benefit for 330 guests, chaired by Shaye Schloss, raised $108,000 for Devereux Pennsylvania. The nonprofit provides mental and behavioral health-care services to 3,400 children and adults with special needs.

Singer and songwriter Lauren Hart, a 10-year cancer survivor, received the Friends of the American Cancer Society's Humanitarian Award at its 10th annual Party With a Purpose Gala, held Oct. 10 at the Water Works Restaurant and Lounge. Hart sang "God Bless America" for the event's 450 guests and gave a short performance at the end of the evening with singer and songwriter Jessy Kyle. The benefit's chair, Beverly Goldberg, received the Pennsylvania Division Volunteer of the Year Award. The evening grossed $350,000 for the society.

Philip Price Jr. received the F. Eugene Dixon Jr. Historic Preservation Award at the Fairmount Park Historic Preservation Trust's 10th Annual Benefit, held Oct. 14 at Rockland Mansion. The event was hosted by the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia, which restored the 1810 mansion for its use in 2004. The event for 150 guests, chaired by Joan Momjian, raised $46,000 for the trust, which manages more than 34 historic buildings in Fairmount Park.
