Why did the Daily News even report what Kelly White had to say. Did we really need to hear from this uneducated individual?
White's words only fuel the anger in our city, and it was disrectful to the slain officer's family and every police officer in the city of Philadelphia.
White should be arrested for stupidity. "They want us to give the cops respect, but the cops don't respect us." Wake up, Kelly - if you shoot and kill a cop (or anyone else, for that matter) respect goes out the window. How hard is that to understand?
That "young, black man" who died on the streets lost respect 10 years ago when he decided to become a menace to society. It makes me wonder if Kelly's parents ever taught her that in order to get respect you have to give it. Where was Giddings' respect when he pulled the trigger and killed Officer McDonald?
The article also said that Giddings' father ran to the hospital, saying, "You might as well shoot and kill me, too! I want to see my son." Maybe Mr. Giddings should be arrested for lack of parenting.
Where was he when his son became a criminal back in 1998 when he commited robbery and aggravated assault?

I suggest a harder and more spirited way of fighting crime in the "hot" areas of the city. Philadelphia police should travel in fours. One cruiser behind the other. Imagine four officers arriving for a call. Imagine seeing two cruisers coming down the street in a show of force.
The tragedy of Police Officer Patrick McDonald shall not be in vain. This latest cowardly act makes me sick, and we need to stop talking and start doing.

& phony racism
The whole situation with Councilman Wilson Goode Jr.'s aide is a disgrace. This woman got caught stealing money from the taxpayers. And because she got caught, she feels like she can call reporter Jeff Cole a racist and part of the KKK?
And what is going to happen to her? Nothing. She'll get away with it. Why? If the situation was reversed and a white woman wrote some bad words about a black reporter that were captured on TV, everybody knows that Rev. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would be protesting for the firing of the white woman before it hit the 10 o'clock news.
And they would be right. So why is nothing gonna happen to this woman?
And Mayor Nutter saying he is not stepping in is ridiculous. City Hall is his house. He has to take care of what happens there. I voted for him, and he's not doing his job in this situation. Some kind of action has to be taken.
