Letters: Norcross not backed by Sanders

A stretch for Norcross My opponent in the Democratic primary in New Jersey's First District, U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross, has begun to describe himself as a progressive because of the success of my campaign. I am happy to see Norcross pivoting toward issues that I support, but I am not happy to see him misleading voters.

A stretch for Norcross

My opponent in the Democratic primary in New Jersey's First District, U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross, has begun to describe himself as a progressive because of the success of my campaign. I am happy to see Norcross pivoting toward issues that I support, but I am not happy to see him misleading voters.

His campaign has mailed literature claiming Norcross has been endorsed by Bernie Sanders, but the presidential candidate has not endorsed him. Norcross is stretching the endorsement of Sanders' state campaign chairman, Assemblyman John Wisniewski (D., Middlesex), who is Norcross' friend and a former colleague in Trenton.

I understand this strategy, as my campaign has been doing very well with supporters of Sanders and Hillary Clinton,

but I refuse to sit quietly while this kind of fabrication is passed off as fact.
