I'M A BLOCK captain in Germantown.
There is a house on the corner where I live that needs to be renovated. When the contractors came to inspect the property, they were met with at least 20 raccoons.
They asked me if I could get in touch with my local officials and ask if they could have some traps set inside the property.
The response was no - there was nothing they could do about it. So I asked if I could use some deadly bait to get rid of them - and they said I would go to jail if I did.
Our system seems to take care of animals more than human beings. If there were 20 squatters living at that residence, the city would have put them out.
Why not bring lions, monkeys and any wild animals to roam our city so these animal-lovers can feed them?
Give me a break.
