Marilouise Waldron Hagerty, 55, of West Chester, a real estate broker, died Wednesday, March 23, of kidney cancer at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester.

Mrs. Hagerty graduated from Bishop Shanahan High School in West Chester and earned a bachelor's degree in art from Rosemont College.

After graduating in 1977, she worked for 10 years for Raymond Waldron Realtor, her father's firm.

When he died in 1987, she joined Hershey's Mill Realty. She had a flair for decorating her own home and helping clients and friends with theirs, her husband said.

Mrs. Hagerty volunteered with the May Festival and the Chester County Day fund-raising events for Chester County Hospital, and since her diagnosis two years ago, she had been active in raising funds for the Kidney Cancer Association.

She and her husband enjoyed travel, visiting the Chesapeake and summering in Avalon, N.J.

Besides her husband of 32 years, Mrs. Hagerty is survived by a son, Ryan; her mother, Rosemary Waldron Tucker; and four brothers.
