Robert C. Fallon, 97, a Delaware County real estate developer who later advised dentists on ways to improve and expand their practices, died Friday, Dec. 31, at Broomall Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.

Mr. Fallon graduated from Lansdowne High School and then joined his father, John, a Realtor and builder in Lansdowne. He took over the business when his father died in 1939.

During World War II, Mr. Fallon worked for Sun Shipbuilding & Dry Dock in Chester.

After the war, he built several residential developments, including Allendale Farms in Lawrence Park and Wyola Glen in Newtown Square. In the late 1950s, he closed his real estate firm and became a consultant to dentists from Pennsylvania to Washington, D.C., holding seminars and staff training sessions, his daughter Valerie Hoffman said. He retired in the early 1980s.

For 73 years, Mr. Fallon was married to Elinore M. Fallon, his high school sweetheart. The couple lived in Delaware County until moving to West Chester in 1983. She died in 2007.

Mr. Fallon exercised, lifted weights, and swam at the YMCA in West Chester into his 80s, his daughter said. He was also an enthusiastic golfer.

In addition to his daughter, he is survived by a sister; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A private celebration of life will be held next month.
