Gail Heinzeroth McWilliams, 57, of Unionville, a bank vice president, singer, actress, and costumer, died from a brain tumor Sunday, Sept. 26, at home.

Gail Heinzeroth McWilliams, 57, of Unionville, a bank vice president, singer, actress, and costumer, died from a brain tumor Sunday, Sept. 26, at home.

Mrs. McWilliams, a talented soprano, performed at area dinner theaters and with a jazz vocal group, the Latest Dish. She was a member of One Voice, a society of professional singers in Philadelphia. She and her husband, Charles McWilliams, a music director, met in the 1980s when he cast her in the musical review at a cabaret in Old City.

For more than 15 years, the couple operated a costume company in Unionville, creating custom attire for theater productions and for the Mummers. She was a talented designer and excellent seamstress, her husband said.

Mrs. McWilliams graduated from Lincoln High School in Northeast Philadelphia and earned a bachelor's degree in theater arts from West Chester University. While pursuing her music, she worked for PSFS and Mellon banks and then for 18 years was with Commonwealth Bank in Malvern. She retired in 2003 as vice president of customer service.

Besides her husband of 22 years, Mrs. McWilliams is survived by sisters Carol Roth and Judy Underwood; a brother, Robert Heinzeroth; eight nephews; and seven nieces.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown. A service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1, at Unionville Presbyterian Church, 812 Wollaston Rd., Unionville. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens.
