Texas cheerleader sparks outrage with exotic hunting pics

Texas Tech cheerleader Kendall Jones, 19, has caused a worldwide uproar on social media after posting photos from a recent African hunting trip.

In the images, she appears to pose triumphantly next to a number of dead exotic and endangered species, including a lion, rhino, antelope, leopard, elephant, zebra and hippopotamus.

Jones has since claimed that some of the animals were simply tranquilized for educational purposes.

Nearly 50,000 people have already signed a petition seeking to ban Jones from Facebook. According to her Facebook page, the teen hopes to land a television show in January 2015.
