A couple offers aid to a burned child
Heather and Glen Maeding of Nazareth brought Gregory, who was severely burned, back from Haiti on a medical visa. Months later, they returned to pick up his good friend Carline, who has AIDS, and adopt both children. With one child of their own, and another adopted child with severe lung problems, their lives are full.
The Gift of Family
On her first birthday in America last month, Carline Maeding, 5, was a princess in pink satin, blowing out the candles on a Little Mermaid cake, her parents and three rambunctious brothers at her side.
A year ago, she was an AIDS orphan in Haiti.
