The online lottery for SEPTA Regional Rail passes for the pope's visit starts at 12:01 a.m. Monday and will stay open until 11:59 p.m.
The link to the lottery will be available at SEPTA's website, www.septa.org.
Bidders may seek up to 10 passes for each of the two days of the pope's visit, Sept. 26 and Sept. 27. One-day passes are $10 apiece.
Winners will be notified by e-mail Aug. 6. They will then have three days to pay for their passes. Passes will be mailed two to three weeks later.
Only papal passes will be honored on Regional Rail trains.
This week, SEPTA will announce details of its plans to sell three-day papal passes for subways, trolleys, and buses.
Here are the Center City stations and the outlying stations SEPTA will serve:
30th Street Station: Chestnut Hill West, Cornwells Heights, Croydon, Levittown, Marcus Hook, Paoli, Radnor, Wilmington
Jefferson Station: Airport terminals, Fort Washington, Fox Chase, Norristown Transportation Center, Pennbrook, Warminster, Woodbourne
University City Station: Eastwick, Media, Primos
