Christie on debate: Told ya so!

Gov. Christie spiked the football this morning after what is now widely seen as a Mitt Romney victory over President Obama in last night's debate. Christie had raised eyebrows Sunday when he went on three morning shows to declare that the presidential race would be "turned upside down" come Thursday morning -- defying the lower-the-expectations game that the rest of the Romney camp was playing. Still not sure if this was a game-changing moment. We'll know more after a few days of polling. But in his call this morning to his favorite cable show, Morning Joe, Christie sounded downright giddy:

"I don't think anybody else was paying attention. Every time Mitt Romney had his back against the wall and they had a debate, he came out and had a game-changing debate -- ask Rick Perry, ask Newt Gingrich...and on Sunday, I just came out and said exactly what I believed, which was I've seen this guy do this before, and I think he's going to do it again. And he did last night...Mitt Romney hit a knockout last night."

Fear not fellow Democrats . Last night it was clearly evident that President Obama had no time for Willard Romney . he President was most likely wondering how this clown ever made it on the stage with him .I believe next debate the President will knock out Willard with all the amunition Willard provided during his Etch-a-Sketch campaign .

Yea, but some can function WITHOUT one...while our President got schooled without it, without a sound bite from a 30 second ad, without an audience more like a pep rally...mano-a-mano. Standing 8 count. Better luck next time.

Christie set the tone for the debates last Sunday on 3 network news programs. The debate would give an unfiltered view of Romney to the American people. That debate last night and not all the liberal press cheerleaders for Obama is going to prove being the winning factor for Romney next month.

You mean the debate gave Romney a venue to spew his lies unchecked. Just because president Obama didn't punch him doesn't mean he lost.

Thank God Jim Lehrer didn't have the b**ls to put Romney in his place, talking over the time limit, interupting the President, not answering the directed question and last but not least still putting out false information. The President didn't have the ba**s to stand up and call him out on the lies. (HTML deleted)

What were you watching...the first 15 minute segment, the President would've went first AND get the last word in if Romney didn't speak up..respectfully. Did you not see the President INSIST he had "5 more seconds" and blow off the moderator. The format was solid as it was designed for back and forth, and it WAS...with the moderator acting on points and asking follow up questions...BTW, like in 2008, Mr. Obama had 4 extra minutes...Romney called out the President, and the President got exposed as being either unprepared or uninterested..Better luck next time.

How those "shovel ready jobs" treating you? The Prez certainly won't address his record. he saw a glimpse of what is come. He is going to be called to the mat on everything. Sounded a lot like is 2008 debate. Except, this time people aren't buying it.

The people aren't buying Romney's lies. He put on a nice show, but offered NO substance, only fiction. The President has been pushing his jobs bill for over a year now. What "the people" know, is that obstructionist RepubliCons are willing to destroy America to win this election.
