Added to DNC speaker list: Booker, Warren, Kaine, Pelosi, Kenney...

Mayor Kenney, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi are among more than 60 elected officials slated to speak at next week's Democratic National Convention, organizers announced Thursday.

Mayor Kenney, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi are among more than 60 elected officials slated to speak at next week's Democratic National Convention, organizers announced Thursday.

A similar list released ahead of the Republican National Convention sparked vice-presidential speculation because it notably included two of Donald Trump's potential picks - Gov. Christie and Newt Gingrich - but not a third: Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, whom Trump chose to be his running mate.

The Democrats' latest convention speaker list includes several names that recently have been floated as possible Hillary Clinton running mates: Warren, New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, and Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine.

Missing from the list is another person being considered by the Clinton camp - Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack - but that absence may not hold the same significance.

The list is almost entirely elected officials, which Vilsack is not.

There are a few former elected officials included, a category that Vilsack does fit, as a former governor of Iowa.

Clinton campaign spokeswoman Stephanie Formas declined to comment when asked if it was fair to read into the roster, saying that more speakers will be announced in the coming days.

Philadelphia political consultant Neil Oxman, when asked if Vilsack's absence means anything, said it might.

"But they also could be doing a head fake," he said. "Because what they say is, the speakers list now doesn't have to be the speakers list Monday through Thursday."
