Today is voter-registration deadline for Pa. primary

Today is the deadline to register to vote in Pennsylvania's May 20 primary.

Pennsylvanians will elect party nominees for governor, lieutenant governor, the U.S. House of Representatives and the state House and Senate, as well as Republican and Democratic state committee members, in the primary election.

Voters must register with a party to cast a ballot in the primary. Registration applications must be postmarked or delivered to the county board of elections by the close of business today.

The race for governor in Pennsylvania is one of the most high-profile gubernatorial elections in the country this year, with four Democrats vying to take on incumbent Republican Gov. Tom Corbett.
