The vote for U.S. president in the Philadelphia region

President Obama amassed a margin of nearly 600,000 votes over Mitt Romney in Philadelphia and its four suburban counties, helping him capture Pennsylvania's 20 electoral votes.

However, nearly a third of the suburban municipalities that favored Obama in 2008 voted for Romney this year. Only three municipalities switched from Republican to Democrat.
