Mayor Nutter, who is most likely going to be giving a speech at the Democratic National Convention today, has an editorial in the Huffington Post about the hospitality industry in Philadelphia.
Although he doesn't mention the just-completed Made in America event, the piece serves as an extended advertisement for what a great city Philadelphia is to live/work/play/hold a convention/stay in a hotel/eat in a restaurant.
The HuffPost says the editorial is part of a series meant to address three issues not discussed at the party conventions - the drug war, poverty and money in politics.
Nutter rather deftly fits his column into the poverty category by talking about how many jobs the hospitality industry brings to city residents and how important tourism is to our economy.
Here's the full column.
