Did Americans for Prosperity just give up on Pennsylvania?

Did Americans for Prosperity just give up on Pennsylvania?

POSTED: Monday, August 27, 2012, 4:00 PM

Chuck Todd of MSNBC tweeted this morning that Americans for Prosperity, the conservative non-profit linked to billionaire brothers David and Charles Koch, is pulling from the airwaves in Pennsylvania the television commercials it has been running to criticize President Obama's record.

Here's the tweet: "Americans for Prosperity (the Koch group) has canceled the rest of their PA TV ad buy. Still up in other swing states including MN and NM."

Ben LaBolt, Obama's national campaign press secretary, quickly re-tweeted Todd's claim.

AFP didn't seem surprised by our phone call this afternoon to see if the tweet is accurate.  But the group didn't have a response handy.  We'll update when we know more.

UPDATE, 5:25 pm: Documents filed today with the Federal Communications Commission shows AFP ads coming down on 6ABC and NBC10.  Here's what AFP spokesman Levi Russell had to say:

"We’re making changes to our ad flights frequently – nothing necessarily stays the same for long. Beyond that, we actually don’t discuss details of our own internal strategy."

Considering the poster child for the Grand Ole Pustule is Tom Corbett (Registered Trademark & wholly-owned subsidiary of Chesapeake Power) & Rep. Tom Smith just showed his complete stupidity & taliban colors by equating a single mom deciding to have a baby and a rape victim, it's not surprising. Shame ole' Tom Corbett (Reg Trademark) was only concerned about lining his pockets with his owner's cash (that would be Mr. McClendon) & could give a rat's a** about "the party". But hey, that makes him a GOPPER through and through.

I hope so, but be careful, after the RNC convention and nomination, when the money pours down (or up) out of the criminal superpacs.
