WASHINGTON -- Cory Booker hasn't officially said he's running for Senate in 2014 (wink) but he's sure acting like he will.
Booker has filed FEC papers creating a "Cory Booker for Senate" political committee. National Journal first reported the development.
Of course, filing papers doesn't mean he has to run, but all signs point to Booker giving it a shot. Public opinion polls rate him as the early favorite.
Booker has said he is considering running in 2014 for the seat currently held by fellow Democrat Frank Lautenberg. He recently told CNN that he has "deep respect and love" for Lautenberg but that the two have not spoken since Booker's announcement in mid-December.
Booker said a planned meeting with Lautenberg had to be canceled due to the busy year-end schedule in Washington.
looking forward to lautenberg teaching this upstart punk a lesson hannibal barca
Lautenberg is still alive? Mr. Smith
Another Obama. Unless the country gets its act together, this guy will be running for president eventually. Phillies2008WSChamps
principals by far, are the hardest working people in any school, and for that matter, school districts. you may not want to ^&*% off principals. if they decide to work a normal work day (8-4), many things will not get done in schools. with the cutbacks, most are also the nurse, secretary, school police, nta's, etc. be careful school district, be very careful. ceage2
