Judicial board wants all of Eakin's troublesome emails

The state Court of Judicial Discipline on Thursday ordered Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane to confirm that she has already provided the tribunal copies of all the emails by suspended Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice J. Michael Eakin that contain "sexually explicit, misogynistic, ethnically insensitive, racist or homophobic material."

Kane's office has already handed over to the tribunal a huge cache of Eakin's emails. Those copies later formed the basis of the judicial court's case filed against him in December.

The new order is to ensure that she has turned over everything that her office found during its probe into the matter commonly known as "Porngate." The order said that if Kane had not made a full submission of the material, she should provide everything by Feb. 25.

Her office has said all emails already had been submitted. Eakin, who has apologized for the offensive emails, faces a March 29 trial before the tribunal. - Mark Fazlollah
