WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama says 2013 can be a year of solid economic growth, but only if Washington gets out of the way.

In his weekly radio and Internet address, Obama says there are signs of progress in real estate, manufacturing and job-creation.

But other signs are worrying. Unemployment ticked up from 7.8 percent in December to 7.9 percent in January. And the Commerce Department says the economy shrank at an annual rate of 0.1 percent in the final months of 2012.

Obama says the U.S. must lower health care costs and close tax loopholes for corporations and the wealthy.

In the Republican address, Rep. Susan Brooks of Indiana says Democrats must get serious about the nation's spending problems. She's calling on Senate Democrats to pass a budget.

Obama! is a lying liar. Unfortunately, the American media enables his deception, by not challenging his deceit.
The unemployment rate has now ticked up two months following the election, the economy shrank during the 4th quarter of 2012, taxes increased for all working people this past January, and the increasing costs from Obama!-Care are on the horizon.
The president is not going to have George Bush to blame this economy on. Even the sycophants in the media won't buy that tale.

Obama already got one tax increase through and less than one month later he is asking for more revenue while refusing to address the spending problem. How, exactly, will confiscating more revenue from the private sector lead to job growth? I would love hear Obama provide an answer to this.

The "con man" once again used a dart board for his prediction. One look at the line graph quickly indicates the direction this country is headed under this imbecile. His inadequacy as a leader is obvious. Community Organizing is his forte, not leading a nation.

I now suspect this comment is a dog whistle for his fans to start talking about defense cuts because that's the only think liberals know how to cut. All this is in conjunction with the next round of spending cuts that are supposed to be negotiated by the end of February. Obama is laying the groundwork.

How come the party of stupid finds this headline and article as bad?

How come the party of hate always hates good news on the economy?

Some of us don't see increasing unemployment and economic contraction as positives.
